Damai Golf & Country Club Hole by hole
Hole 2, par-4, 390 metres
This index 3 hole doglegs slightly left. Trees await tee shots aimed right while shots to the left will find the pond. A long and accurate tee should set you up nicely for the second to shot to the green, which is two-tiered and has subtle breaks.
Hole 4, par-4, 387 metres
The only hole on the course which does not have a bunker, the tight and narrow fairway has jungle on the right and a small creek cuts across the fairway to catch mishit shots aimed at the green.
Hole5, par-4, 396 metres
This Index 1 hole is uphill all the way and requires an accurate tee shot to avoid trouble lurking on both sides of the fairway. Be careful to avoid three bunkers fronting the green on your second shot. The undulating and tricky green lies at the end of the mountain slope.
Hole 7, par-4, 335 metres
Hit to the centre of the fairway to avoid bunkers on the left and right of the fairway. The green is well-guarded by a giant bunker which is not visible from the fairway. Otherwise it’s a straightforward par-4. You are advised to play a longer club on your second to shot for better results.
Hole 8, par-5, 510 metres
This slightly goggle right hole has a wide landing area for the tee shot but the fairway narrows as it reaches the green. Thich bushes await sliced drives. Put your second shot left to avoid a large pond and set up a short iron approach to a tricky, sloping green.
Hole 9, par-4, 385 metres
This Index 5 hole presents a demanding finish to the front nine. Two large ponds guard the tee shot and the green.
Hole 10, par-4, 344 metres
An easy and straightforward hole. However, you must avoid the fairway bunkers that catch topped tee shots to set up a short iron approach. There is a generous-sized green which is relatively easy on the nerves.
Hole 12, par-4, 360 metres
Ponds on both sides of the fairway are designed to catch slice and draws shots off the tee. Make sure that you use one club more on the second shot to avoid a “ladder-like” bunker guarding the green.
Hole 13, par-4, 423 metres
This is the longest par-4 at Damai Golf & Country Club. For this index two hole, you will need an accurate tee shot to carry over the ponds. OB to the left. Play a long iron or fairway wood for the second shot to avoid the pond on the right. Two bunkers await around the gree, making things more difficult.
Hole 14, par-3, 190 metres
You will need a perfect tee shot to carry over the large ravine, with trees and mangrove to the left and OB on the right. A tight fairway with a series of bunkers guarding the subtly contoured green.
Hole 15, par-4, 35, metres
A mangrove swamp and the sea on the right, making this an interesting hole, especially when the breeze blows creating all kinds of problems with club choice. Three-way bunkers await to catch poorly hit tee shots.
